The Dallas Strategy Group, Inc. has served numerous public and private companies for the past 15 years. Originally founded to provide consulting services in the field of strategy, we quickly discovered that almost all companies have deficiencies in categories other than strategy that must be corrected if the firm is to maximize future performance.
DSG uses a statistically validated approach that measures every capability of the organization and then compares it with future competition. Over time, the approach expanded to include “organizational character assessments” (such as ethics) since those areas can have a critical impact on the sustainability of the firm.
The development of the various assessments has led the organization to focus on the area of performance, and to further concentrate that work on CEO advisory services.
Our founding principal, Dr. Jim Underwood has worked with numerous organizations including IBM, HP, Nortel Networks, and Sprint PCS to name a few. He was selected to serve as the “Strategy Content Expert” for the Nortel Learning Institute. He is the author of ten books, including one New York Times bestselling book and one international award winner.
In addition to his other work, Jim has served on the board of directors of a publicly traded (AMEX) oil company where he was Chairman of the Governance Committee.
His publications include, More Than A Pink Cadillac, Thriving in E-Chaos, The Significance Principle, and The Invisible Wall. In December of 2011, his books The Ethics Trap, The Significance Breakthrough, and The Challenge will be released.
